📸🚶 Thousands March in Houston to Protest Trump’s Immigration Crackdown and ICE Raids
Danielle Villasana, Independent Photographer & Antranik Tavitian, Staff Photographer.- Thousands of Houstonians marched from Montrose to Hermann Park on Sunday, voicing opposition to President Donald Trump’s recent immigration policies and ICE raids.
Protesters chanted “Sin papeles, sin miedo” (“Without papers, without fear”) as they waved flags from dozens of Latin American countries and carried signs demanding justice. Families, young adults, and activists filled the streets, calling for protections for immigrants targeted by Trump’s executive orders.
As night fell over the I-59 bridge, the demonstration became festive yet defiant, with children playing, families taking selfies, and passing cars honking in solidarity. The peaceful gathering underscored Houston’s strong immigrant identity and its resistance to Trump’s sweeping deportation agenda.
